Brandon Roy is waffling

Brandon Roy had almost made up his mind to pull the trigger and commit to the Unversity of Washington. But some things have muddied the waters a little recently and the decision has become more difficult.

A week ago Brandon Roy was leaning heavily in the direction of Washington, but things are shifting slightly back toward Arizona. It's definitely a two team contest to see which school wins the recruiting battle for this 6-5 wing from Seattle (Garfield), Wash.

"If I had to make a decision today I'd probably still go to Washington," Roy said. "But Arizona called and they really want me."

He went on to say that Arizona has offered a scholarship and sent him a Letter-of-Intent to sign and return if he chooses the Wildcats. He has the same offer on the table from the Huskies.

"My mom and dad would probably like to see me go to Washington so they can watch me play," Roy said. "But I know Arizona can make me a better player."

Roy said Lou Hudson, who coaches Roy's Team Yes during the AAU summer circuit, is advising him that Arizona would be a better choice.

"I don't know what I'm going to do," Roy said. "It's hard (to make a decision). But I'm going to make a decision before Nov.14 (Nation Letter-of-Intent signing day)."
