Hammer's frontline will be led by North Carolina and all of the top Western schools, is an extremely skilled big man. "Brayden is an excellent passer with NBA 3 point range" Hammer remarked. "He also has a nice jump hook on the block and the body to take a pounding down low".
Bell will be joined on the frontline by 6-9 Utah player Alex Jensen.
At the wings, expect to see the 3 being shot often and successfully. The main bomber should be 6-7 Joe Darger. Darger, who led the adidas Big Time in scoring last summer as a sophomore, is a potent offensive threat. "Joe is a big time shooter with an excellent feel for the game" Hammer stated. Darger is being recruited extensively nationally as well.
Joining Darger at the wings, will be 6-3 athletic Jackson Emery, a first team Utah all state player and an excellent 3 point shooter. He will be joined by 6-3 Ryan Sanchez and 6-0 Cliff Snyder, a tenacious defender. Metro will also have available at selected tourneys the state's other bomber deluxe, Shaun Green.
Tyler Newbold, at 6-4, 190-pounds will combo at the point and at the guard position. "Tyler is a tremendous athlete with major hops," Hammer said, "he also is extremely fundamentally sound at everything he does. He can shoot the 3, has a mid-range game and can dunk on you off the drive. He is also an excellent passer; my only criticism is he may too unselfish". 6-0 Jacques Wilson will provide a defensive presence at the point as well.
"This should be a great group to coach. They are a very driven group that I will expect to improve every time out."
