Prince's First Visit A Good One

One down and at least three more visits to go. Memphis White Station point guard J.P. Prince had a successful visit to Vanderbilt last weekend.

The Vanderbilt Commodores did a nice job with Memphis White Station guard J.P. Prince during his official visit last weekend. Prince, a 6-foot-5 point man, has visits scheduled with North Carolina State, Arizona and Florida during the month of September. Memphis, his hometown school, might not need an official visit.

As for Vanderbilt, the theme Prince took out of his visit to Nashville dealt more with the players the Commodores have in the program than anything else. Basketball is a business but Prince found the players pleasurable to be around and that's important to him.

"After basketball, I want to have friends that I can have fun with and hang out," Prince said. "[Visits are] business, but it's probably less business. You know the basketball stuff before you get there. <> "I just really get along with the players. I know most of them and it was real good that I got along with the coaching staff."

Prince says he doesn't really have a set of expectations for each trip. He's just seeing what is out there. "Every school is different. On the next visit maybe someone will do something different and catch my eye."
