"I like the new coach they have at Arizona," said Bursey. "I think they can get something going now."

The SS/CB prospect had 97 tackles, 10 passes broken up, and two interceptions as a junior. He was named first team all-league, Poly's defensive MVP, and second team Long Beach Press-Telegram dream team squad.

Bursey currently has one written offer, from Arizona State, and five main schools he is looking at. "USC would be my dream school but I am not too sure what their interest is in me. I went to their junior day but I have not been hearing much from them. I grew up watching them. Washington State, Cal, Arizona State, and Arizona are some of the main ones I like besides 'SC."

Since the first of the month, he has received calls from Oregon, ASU, San Diego State, Utah, Cal, and UA. Washington State also called his coach.

The defensive prospect admits it does not matter to him what position he plays in college between corner and strong safety. Poly got their season underway with a big win over Corona Centennial and now they take on Clovis East, Saturday.

Bursey says his parents are leaving the college decision completely up to him.

He has not scheduled any official visits yet. His core GPA is a 3.0 and he scored a 960 on his SAT.
