Robertson down to three

Corey Robertson has always had a pretty good idea that he would only be taking three official visits before making his decision. While interest continued to come from different places throughout this fall, Robertson has decided on the three schools he will visit.

"I've narrowed things down to Iowa, Arizona, and Colorado," said Robertson. "I just kind of decided that it was too late for any others to offer, and while Texas A&M had offered me, I just felt I should go in a different direction. The only official visit I have set right now is with Iowa for December 17th, but if my season ends earlier, that visit may occur earlier."

What are his thoughts on the three schools?

Iowa: "I've been talking to Coach (Ron) Aiken and Coach (Carl) Jackson. They told me they are in real need of a running back right now with all of their injuries, and wished I was able to be on campus right now. They feel I can make a contribution to the program, and they've been my favorite since I visited their campus."

Arizona: "Their director of operations, Eric Harper, is a graduate from Denison. I worked with Coach (Mike) Stoops at the Oklahoma camp a few years back, and he seemed to be a real good guy. They were just in my high school recently, and have told me they are highly interested."

Colorado: "They run a power offense, which is real similiar to the offense we run here. They are looking for a big back and have told me I fit their mold and offensive schemes."

Through six games this fall, Robertson has rushed for 936 yards on 119 carries scoring 15 touchdowns. He has also caught seven passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns. On special teams, he has returned two kicks and one punt for a touchdown. This past Friday, after returning from sitting out the previous week due to injury, he even threw for a touchdown.
