Wideout likes the Arizona schools

WR David Gettis (6-3, 185, 4.4) of Los Angeles Dorsey (CA) already has offers from Washington, Arizona, Arizona State and San Diego St. His top two are the Sun Devils and Bears.

"Wow…I love Arizona State," said Gettis. "They are having an amazing year. It's a great program and they really stepped it up. They spread the ball around and get the running back and wide receiver involved. They also have a great track team and that's a big thing in my recruitment because I plan to do both for sure."

He doesn't have any official visits set up yet, but he did attend the USC/Cal game on Oct 9th. "It was kind of strange being at that game because I didn't know who to root for. I was rooting for both. Mainly I just wanted to see a lot of big plays and I got that. I went into both the locker rooms afterward and felt bad for the Cal guys, but I was happy for the SC guys.

"I was really impressed with Cal during that USC game. They made some big mistakes and I think they really could have won if they hadn't. They have a great QB and put the ball out there a lot. I also really like the coaches. I just feel they are really truthful with me.

"But so are the Arizona St coaches. I have a great relationship with WR Coach Darryl Jackson. He's real up front with me and he started recruiting me last year. I'll be rooting for Arizona State this weekend (10/15) when they play USC. That game should have a lot of big plays too.

"I'm impressed by Arizona too. With all the stuff they are going through they still play really hard every week and have come really close. They have Coach Stoops now, but it'll still take a while for them to improve. They'll get there for sure.

"I'd like to go through the whole process, but I doubt I will. I may make my decision early. Once I feel really comfortable with it I'll do it."
