Stepheson said that he wasn't really sure about Arizona before he came. He knew about the school's reputation, but didn't know much about the school, the town or the community.
"I was able to learn more about Arizona," Stepheson said. "I am definitely interested in Arizona."
The highlight of the trip was Midnight Madness itself. Stepheson had a front row seat for all of the festivities.
"I had a lot of fun at Midnight Madness," Stepheson said. "There was a lot of energy and excitement, especially from the entire town."
The rest of the visit was very good as well. Stepheson came with his mother and took the full tour. He met with the coaches, the support staff and the players. He saw all the facilities, toured the campus and even experienced the town.
"I liked everything about the school," he said. "There wasn't really anything I disliked. I like Coach Olson, the athletic program, the academic program, and the friendly town."
As well as the visit went, Stepheson is no closer to making a decision than he was when he left for Tucson. The Wildcats are going to be in the mix, but that is as far as Stepheson knows at this point.
"I don't even have a list of schools yet, I am still wide open," he noted. "I need to sit down and talk with my family about what I want in a school, but I want good academics and athletics."
One other person in the Stepheson camp enjoyed the visit. His mother came out with him and liked what see saw of the Wildcats and Tucson.
"She enjoyed it, but you'd have to ask her about that," Alex said.
CAT TRACKS' ANALYSIS: A lot of big time schools are involved with Stepheson, so it is nice that the Wildcats have made a good early impression. There is still a long way to go with his recruitment, but so far, so good.
