The latest on Scottdale, Ariz. five-star defensive end Ekom Udofia visit plans to Oklahoma and other schools.

Ekom Udofia, DT, 6-1, 290, 5.0 SCOTSDALE (CHAPARRAL HS), ARIZONA:

JH: How did you get hurt?

EU: "It was the first play of the game and we were on defense. Three guys came at me to block me and one guy had hold of my leg, and the other two guys pushed me over. I could feel it pop as I went down, so I had a good feeling that my leg was broken as soon as they hit me."

JH: What exactly is your injury?

EU: "I broke my fibula. Right now I can't put any weight on it."

JH: What is your next step?

EU: "I am going to see the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow, and then I hope we have surgery on Wednesday. It looks like we are going to have to have surgery."

JH: Are you still planning on visiting OU this weekend?

EU: "No, we are going to have to push that back. I am not sure when we will push it back, but we are going to have to push it back so I can get over this surgery for a little while."

JH: Are you going to have to change any other visits because of the injury?

EU: "I am probably going to have to move Oklahoma State as well because it is the weekend after this one and that is probably to soon. I will try to reschedule that visit as well."

JH: How are you holding up mentally?

EU: "It was tough when it first happened, but I am staying positive about everything and keeping my head up. My team has a chance to win in the post season and they have a chance to win state without me. I need to get this surgery done and then get into my rehab immediately so that I can get ready for the next level."
