Last year, Moriarty had 2,400 yards passing with 20 touchdowns and ten interceptions. He also added 700 yards rushing with eight touchdowns.
Schools like him as an athlete. "Every school is recruiting me as an athlete but has said that they will give me a shot at quarterback, first," explained Moriarty. "I would like to play quarterback but I am willing to go somewhere as an athlete if it comes to that."
UNLV has offered him a scholarship and he plans on visiting Las Vegas sometime in December. "My top three schools are Notre Dame, UNLV, and Washington. I also like Fresno State, Colorado State, and Arizona. Notre Dame is my leader."
His father, Larry Moriarty, played fullback at Notre Dame.
He sees the Wildcats doing good things in regards to recruiting. "That program is going up without a doubt. I see that they are getting a lot of good commits to play there. They came to our game against Rio Mesa couple weeks ago and I had a pretty good game."
Coach Williams is after him for 'Zona.
This season, he has 800 yards passing and eight touchdowns. On the ground, he has 400 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Dos Pueblos is 2-4 overall and 1-0 in league play.
Moriarty describes his skills. "I have great quickness. I mean, I am fast but I am really quick. I ran a 3.87 shuttle time over the summer. I can make plays when the pocket breaks down or I can stay in the pocket and make plays."
The athlete carries a 3.6 core GPA and scored a 1020 on his SAT. He would like to major in Business.
