"I have not heard from Arizona in a while," said Owens. "I need to speak up on that and get with the staff to see what the interest level is. Last time we spoke they said they needed my transcripts. I think I could have an opportunity at Arizona as soon as next year to make an immediate impact."

"Big C" as he is referred to as, claims written offers from Utah, Oklahoma State, UA, and Oregon. "I also think UCLA is on the verge."

He originally played at Long Beach Poly. Owens graduated and took a year off football by attending Long Beach City College. He will earn his AA degree in May and will have four years to play three. He was named second team all-conference this year. "I can't believe I only got second team. I did not give up one sack."

Owens says he knows he will be visiting Oklahoma State, Utah, and Oregon. Those trips will most likely be in January.

Cat Tracks will catch up with him again soon to see if the UA staff decides to make a play for him.
