Texas runner still eyeing the Cats

Houston area running back Beau Carr visited Tucson last weekend. Carr did not commit to the Cats, and will take at least one more visit. Should Wildcat fans write off Carr?

Arizona may not have gotten a commitment from Carr yet, but all indications are that Arizona is a huge favorite. The electrifying runner has told a number of sources that he favors the Wildcats, but he isn't quite ready to commit. Carr will visit Tulsa this weekend and then may make a decision.

His teammate at Westfield High School, offensive lineman Tony Ugoh told Prep West Football that he believed Carr would become a Wildcat.

"I tripped in with one of my teammates, Beau Carr," Ugoh said. "I think he's going to commit to Arizona."

The 5-11, 195-pound running back rushed for over 1800 yards and 18 touchdowns this past season. He also has a visit to Arkansas scheduled for January 25th.

Carr is rated as the 68th best running back and a three-star recruit.

The Wildcats have received commitments from two Texas running backs already. Gilbert Harris and Rashawn Mosely have both verballed.

Ugoh has also indicated that he enjoyed his visit to Arizona. Ugoh will still visit Arkansas and Florida State and considers Oklahoma a favorite.
