Junior QB will be One of California's Finest

As a junior, he was named first team all-state for small schools and second team all-state under-class. He was the league MVP and county player of the year. Costa is a player that really impressed Scout.com at the Berkeley MSL Combine last summer. Arizona is one of his early top five.

Hilmar head coach Craig Handy says of Costa, "He has a great understanding of the game. He is willing to work as much as he is asked to so he is very coachable. He is a vey focused player that is constantly taking the steps needed towards getting better."

Costa is already receiving handwritten letters from Arizona State and UCLA. These are two of his early top five. "I like Arizona State, Arizona, Northwestern, UCLA, and Washington. Arizona State is number one for me."

The quarterback is good friends with future Wildcat William Tuitama. "Him and I have been working out with (quarterbacks coach) Roger Theder for the last couple of years. He tells me good things about Arizona. I also hear the weather is nice."

Costa says that he is currently receiving the most mail from ASU and Northwestern. He will for sure attend the Northwestern one-day camp and another MSL Combine this summer.

He carries a 3.3 core GPA and is taking his ACT on February 12th, and his SAT on March 12th. Costa would like to major in Criminal Justice or Criminal Science.
