Cats To Lose Coach?

The Arizona Football program avoided losing two assistants to other colleges after the conclusion of the 2004 season when they retained Kasey Dunn and Mike Canales. But CatTracks has learned that another spot on the staff may quickly open up.

CatTracks has learned through sources that Arizona Defensive Coordinator Mark Stoops could be heading back to south Florida to coach.

According to our sources, Stoops has been given a rather lucrative offer to join the staff of the NFL's Miami Dolphins. The offer, the terms of which are not known, is for Stoops to coach the Defensive Secondary for new Dolphins head coach Nick Saban.

Sources indicate that a deal could be done as early as tomorrow or Wednesday.

Mark Stoops was unavailable for comment but our sources say that he could be in Miami as early as tomorrow to finalize the deal with the Dolphins.
