On the Game:
"Just to begin with, there were a lot of guys that stepped up. We were in foul trouble, and Kirk Walters gave us 14 quality minutes in the middle. Not only scoring some, but the big thing was his shot blocking and challenging of shots, when they (UAB) did come to the inside."
On Arizona's Balanced Scoring:
"We felt all along we can score from not just five positions, but Jawann McClellan can come in and give us a big lift. Chris Rodgers can shoot the ball really well. In practice, the main thing with Chris is getting consistent minutes. I think that shot will be there, because he has been shooting it with rhythm in practice. With Hassan (Adams) the thing I try to get across to him is with Salim (Stoudamire) having a guy hanging on him the whole game, and when we set screens, we need that guy to help. With Salim at his best, it really opens the court with driving."
On the Bench:
"We knew we were going to the bench. I thought (Jawann) McClellan gave us quality time. Chris Rodgers played really well for us. (He was) a very key guy defensively, and in terms of rebounding."
Senior Center Channing Frye
On Hassan Adams:
"I think they (UAB) had a lot of emphasis on me and Ivan (Radenovic). But, Hassan is just a freak athlete. I think when he wants to go get the ball I think he can be one of the best rebounders in the country. I think he was just aggressive and I think once he got a couple of easy buckets, his confidence started getting up there. He took advantage of how spread out they were on defense. I think he is a huge match-up problem for people, especially out there on the wing with his athleticism and his ambidextrous abilities with his hands."
"I think we played great defense. I think we kind of tasted it. We wanted to go to Chicago and get in the Sweet 16 so bad. I think we were totally committed to the defensive end and getting out on their shooters. The fact that people could come off the bench like Kirk Walters and Jawann (McClellan) and Chris Rodgers, give us quality minutes and quality buckets and quality stops, it's huge for our team."
Senior Guard Salim Stoudamire
On UAB's Defense:
"They (UAB) played a swarming defense and I thought I was too excited and I tried to force the issue in the first half. Coach (Olson) did a great job of calming me down during halftime, told me to just be patient."
