Wildcats talking Tourney

The Wildcat players met with the media on Monday afternoon. Here are some of the highlights of the session.

Senior Center Channing Frye:
"We want to have fun, enjoy playing and I hope to play my hardest. You just have to enjoy it while you can. It's been a year since we've been here and we hope to come away with a win."

"We can defend anyone. I don't think you could focus on just one person, there are to many good people."

"I haven't played there [Chicago], so I haven't won there. So I think it's time to break that."

"Our confidence goes up after each win, but we've looked at tapes and see there are still things that have room for improvement."

"I think this is what coach meant by taking Kirk [Walters] off of his redshirt and putting Jawann [McClellan] in during the Pac-10 tournament. It's help us be tournament ready."

"It's going to be real physical. They have good players on the inside and outside. We just have to go out there and play."

Freshman Guard Jawann McClellan:
"It'll be a tough game. They are very physical."

"If you showed me a map, I couldn't tell you where Bucknell is. It's really funny how the tournament goes."

"It doesn't matter, it's a clean slate. Who would have thought Milwaukee-Wisconsin would be in the sweet sixteen? The NCAA tournament has its ways. It's a lot of fun."

Senior Guard Salim Stoudamire:
"Each game there is more confidence. It only gets tougher, everyone gets hungry as you go."

"I think I need to display a positive attitude and it will rub off on my teammates."

"It's crazy all the top-notch teams are falling. It's the NCAA Tournament and that's what happens."

"Our chemistry is here and it continues to get better."

"I've had some good and bad memories [at Arizona], but it's been a learning experience."

Sophomore Forward Ivan Radenovic:
"It feels good to be in the sweet sixteen. It's the first time since I've been in college that we've gone. Last year we lost in the first round. So this year to keep playing is good. It's really exciting."

"I saw their [Oklahoma State] game yesterday. They are a good team and it will be a good game."
