"Washington State is my first and only offer so I want to show some great interest in them. I like the coaching staff and how they work with the players," says Rosenberg. "Also, the 'home town thing' is part of it too. I mean I could go either way as far as location goes, but in the end I think that it will be a factor in making my decision.
"They also have a great academic program. I plan on majoring in English.
"I've been to Washington's JR Day and I got to speak with coach (Tyrone) Willingham. It was a good experience overall because I got to meet some of the new coaches there and I talked with them about the program. I was really impressed with what they're doing and I think coach Willingham is a real smart guy. Tradition was the main thing that he talked about."
Rosenberg will be at Washington State's JR Day this weekend and is undecided if he'll attend any combines.
"As far as summer goes, well…I've spoken with coach (Kasey) Dunn (running backs) of Arizona about getting out there for an unofficial visit. I don't know much about them other than they've got a great coaching staff, and, from the conversations I've had with him on the phone, I think coach Dunn is a great guy.
"I don't want to go and commit to a program early and I want to wait closer to Signing Day to do it.
"I'm a lock-down cornerback and a good open field tackler. I'm also a good addition to the game on offense. I want to work on my speed and vertical jump (35 inches)."
Final JR (13-0) stats: 1300 yds rush/21 ypc/15 TDs; 40 tackles/3 INT. Rosenberg says he made Associated Press first team all state on defense.
