As a junior, on defense, Colin Baxter had 40 tackles, four quarterback hurries, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery on defense. Baxter was named first team all-area and second team all-CIF for the offensive line. "I can do anything I am asked to do," he says. "I like to hit people. I have pretty good feet and I am agile for a big guy."

Baxter is a great athlete as he plays about every sport known to man. He was in the mountains skiing when caught up with him. He is also currently competing in track and field where he does the shot and the discuss.

The Cats were the first school to offer and the projected offensive lineman is looking at five schools. "I like Arizona, UCLA, Cal, USC, and Stanford. They are all equal right now. I guess you could say I might want to stay in the Pac Ten.

"Arizona was the first school to offer me so I know they are real interested. That is a good sign for me. I am looking forward to getting down there and checking them out."

The UA staff is putting a group effort into recruiting Baxter as he has been speaking with coaches Stoops, Tuiasosopo and Wolford.

He plans on attending summer camps at Cal, UCLA, USC, and UA. He has been to junior days at USC and UCLA.

Baxter carries a 3.3 core GPA and will be taking his tests soon. He is unsure on what he'll major in.
