Jordan Hill pulls the trigger

Jordan Hill burst onto the scene just a few short weeks ago. He went from an unknown to a top-40 player almost overnight. Now his recruitment appears to be over.

Jordan Hill visited Arizona this weekend and committed to the Wildcats before leaving Tucson.

"I loved the environment," Hill said. "They have a good academic program. I loved the people and the coach."

Hill was in town for graduation weekend and got to experience a lot of the pomp and circumstance that accompanies such a weekend.

"He came at the right time with graduation," said Keith Ivey, a close friend of the family who has served as a mentor for Hill. "He got to experience the overall excitement of the University and this special weekend."

Hill played pick-up with the team, met University President Peter Likens and got to see the local mountains.

"It was great," Hill gushed.

Hill is rated as the nation's 39th best player and the 9th rated power forward. He is the second player to verbally commit to Arizona joining point guard Nic Wise.

Cat Tracks will have a lengthier feature on Hill and his decision later tonight.
