Current and former Cats help a good cause

The Tucson Heat is a youth basketball team that is run by former Wildcat basketball players Justin Wessel and Jason Stewart. The two have created an organization that promotes education and positive experiences through athletics. On Thursday night they held an NBA Finals party to raise funds for their organization.

The party was held at the Viscount Suites hotel and a number of sponsors donated items for a silent auction and raffle. Also on hand were a number of current and former Wildcats who graciously signed autographs for the fans.

Among those on hand were Corey Williams, Matt Brase, Kirk Walters, Jesus Verdejo, Hassan Adams, Jawann McClellan, A.J. Bramlett and Miles Simon. Representing the women's team were Anna Chappell, Shawntinice Polk and Katrina Lindner among others.
