Chase Budinger's press conference was a professional presentation all the way. From the suit that Chase wore to the press releases handed out. All the way around it was a well thought out presentation (well, other than the heat. That room was not meant to hold 150 people). The press releases really shed a light on how good Budinger has been. Here is what was provided to the media.

BASKETBALL Chase Budinger is a 6-8 small forward with excellent ball handling skills that enable him to play the one, two or three floor spots. His three-point and mid-range shooting capabilities along with his tremendous leaping ability and explosiveness to the basket allows him to score from anywhere on the court.

Some of his accomplishments are as follows:
• Named State Junior of the Year by the CalHiSports.com
• First team All State selection
• MVP of the Bob Gibbons Invitational held in North Carolina (2005)
• Union Tribune Athlete of the Year (twice) for the 2004 and 2005 seasons
• Breithard All-CIF Player of the Year in both Basketball and Volleyball (2005)
• First team All League and led the La Costa Mavericks to their first Palomar League Championship (2005>

During the 2004-05 high school basketball season he averaged 27.9 points, 13.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.2 steals per game. Some of his outstanding game performances were 51 points against Mater Dei, 48 points against Poway, 43 against Rancho Bernardo and 41points against Escondido

VOLLEYBALL Budinger is also rated as one of the top high school volleyball outside hitters in the country. He has exceptional passing/setting skills and great court sense. Combine these skills with quickness and the ability to touch above 12' and he is nearly unstoppable as an offensive outside hitter and a formidable cross the court defender.

Some of his volleyball accomplishments:
• Member of the USA Youth and Junior National Volleyball teams (2004)
• MVP of the 2004 Youth Volleyball Championships held in Mexico City. • Member of the USA Youth National Team that won their first ever Championship and qualified both the USA Junior and USA Youth National teams for the 2005 World Championships.
• Briethard All-Cif Player of the Year (2004 and 2005)
• Member of the Boys 18 National Open All-Tournament team
