Long Beach Poly has had some unbelievable options at wideout the last couple years with DeSean Jackson, Patterson and Terrence Austin. There were hardly enough balls to go around. With Jackson off at Cal, this year there will be more to go around and Patterson believes him and Austin will get equal opportunities. "I expect us to get equal reps this year. In practice, we have both been getting a lot of looks so we should both have strong seasons."
Patterson and Austin are very similar in height, weight and speed so it is tough to decipher between the duo. "I think Terrence is a better route-runner but I am faster."
The blazer was part of the winning 4x400 team in the National Scholastic Indoor Championships, held in New York.
He has a current top six. "I like Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Utah, and Arizona.
"I like the way Coach Williams at Arizona is recruiting me. He says that I could get playing time there as a true freshman and that I could be a big part of their program. That sounds real good to me."
Patterson says the Oregon Ducks are recruiting the hardest.
He does not have any official visits scheduled. "I will probably start setting those up next month."
Poly gets their season underway against Corona Centennial, tomorrow.
