Since receiving his offer from the Wildcats, Conan Amituanai received one from Utah. "Arizona is still my favorite," he explains. "But I also like Utah quite a bit. After those two, I am looking at Pac Ten schools. The main ones I like are USC, Cal and Oregon."

So is he set on staying in the Pac Ten? "You know, I will look at other schools outside the Pac Ten if they show interest, but that hasn't happened yet."

So far this month, he has received phone calls from Washington State and U of A. "My uncle called just to check up on me and see how things are going. We are thinking I will take my trip there for the Oregon game or it will have to wait until December."

Amituanai has a couple of academic items that need to be cleared up before he can play in Poly's season opener versus Corona Centennial, this Friday. "Since I transferred from Los Alamitos they have to make sure that all of my classes are in line and that I am elgible to play before they clear me. We should have it figured out before the game so I can get on the field."

He lists his goals for the year. "This is my last season in high school so really I just want to get out there and have some fun."
