Five Star DT Visiting Tucson This Month

There is not a harder position to recruit than defensive tackle. Every year, it is the rarest position to find true dominators at in the high school ranks. Arizona could use one of those dominating d-tackles for talent and depth purposes. The Cats' staff will get their shot at the no.4 ranked player in the nation at the position when Derrick Hill visits for the Oregon game.

Derrick Hill is a very polished player for someone his age, and unlike a lot of defensive tackles, he is a better pass-rusher than run-stopper. Although he is a force on run-defense at times. He has scheduled all five of his official visits. The first one is to Colorado, this weekend. He visits Arizona on the 22nd of October. Hill will then take a month off before visiting Oregon on the 19th of November. In December, he has USC on the 2nd and Cal on the 10th.

Hill does not claim a leader amongst his favorites. "I have no real leader. I am just going to take my visits and see what happens."

The big d-tackle says that of all his visits, his mother will only be accompanying him on the one to Cal. "I am looking forward to going on some visits by myself because that hasn't really happened on any of the unofficials I have taken. I am going for Derrick now and me only. I am real excited about my upcoming first trip. I get to be treated like royalty for a weekend and take a vacation well-needed," he laughs.

It sounds as if Arizona is making a strong impression on him. "Arizona has been recruiting me as long as anybody. They have been on me since I was a sophomore. I think I could go in there and compete. I am really looking forward to my visit there."

McClymonds is 3-1 on the year. Hill has 25 tackles and four sacks.
