Cats hosting 5 studs for Oregon game

As the Wildcat coaches prepare to host the Oregon Ducks this weekend in the fourth Pac-10 contest of the season, the staff will also be hosting some key big time recruits. There will be five studs in Tucson this weekend that average over four stars a piece in the Scout.com database.

Stud four star defensive end Alex Parsons from Woodbridge High School in Irvine, California is already in town and has started his official visit. Prior to making the trip Parsons had this to say about his impending trip.

"I am really looking forward to seeing what Arizona has to offer," said Parsons. "Coach (Kasey) Dunn is recruiting me for Arizona and he said that I will really enjoy Tucson. I get there early on Friday afternoon so I will be able to see a lot of students and everything, it should be fun."

Also due in Tucson are teammates Na Derris Ward and Derrick Hill from McClymonds High School in Oakland, California. Ward, a four star tight end prospect, said that this is one trip he has been really looking forward to.

"Coach (Tim) Kish is a really cool guy and he has done a great job recruiting me," he said. "I have never been there before and from what coach Kish tells me it is a really nice school. I want to see the atmosphere at the game and the students and I am really looking forward to hanging out and talking to the coaches."

Hill, a five star defensive tackle, said that he is really interested in the interaction between the coaches and players and the scheme of the defense.

"I am a three-technique guy so I want to see up close the scheme that Arizona runs," he said. "I have already been to Colorado and I want to be able to compare Arizona to them. I want to see how the coaches and players react with each other and I want to learn what I can about the school and the city."

A.J. Simmons, a four star defensive end/tight end from O'Dowd High School in Oakland, California, said that he really wants to see how he gets along with the players in particular.

"If the other coaches are like coach Kish then I am sure they are all cool and that I will get along with them," said Simmons. "I want to see how it is to hang with the team and the other players and how they act around each other. I have been to Arizona the state before but I haven't been to Tucson so it should be fun. I have been looking forward to the trip for a long time."

The fifth player due in is Pflugerville (Texas) Hendrickson High School four star wide receiver Terrell Reese. Reese knows that there is early playing time available in Tucson and he wants to get to know the offensive coaches at Arizona.

"Coach (Josh) Heupel is a real good guy and I want to see and meet the rest of the coaches," he said. "I know they need help at receiver and coach Hype said that the really want to throw the ball a lot so I want to see their offense work. I know they have a good young quarterback and I want to meet him and the other guys and just have a fun trip."

Reese is due to arrive in Tucson early Saturday morning while the others are due in town late Friday night with Parson already being in town since early Friday afternoon.

CatTracks will catch up with these five studs as well as any and all unofficial visitors that make the trip to the Old Pueblo.
