Kamyron Brown, 6-2 JR PG Santa Ana (Calif.), Mater Dei, is a big, strong prospect with considerable upside. While he's not a natural point guard, Brown has shown improvement in his skills and decision-making over the last year and he's currently ranked as the #1 point guard in the west for 2007.

We spoke with Brown recently and asked him about the schools he's heard from in the early stages of his recruitment.

"Washington, Cal, Kansas and Arizona are my top four," said Brown. "Kansas and Arizona came to some of my games in the summer."

We asked Brown if any one program has been recruiting him harder than the rest.

"Kansas," said Brown.

When we asked him if he had a dream school growing up as a kid, Brown replied, "Arizona – my cousin Miles Simon went there."

Brown talked a little about the factors he'll consider when choosing a school.

"The style of play and the coach are the two biggest factors," said Brown. "Location isn't really an issue, but I wouldn't mind staying close to play in front of family. Early playing time is not a big deal."

Brown doesn't anticipate making a decision anytime soon.

"I'll probably go through the summer," said Brown. "I would like to sign before my senior year."

Brown told us he has a 3.0 GPA.
