2007 Introduction: Justin Holiday

Justin Holiday, a long and slender wing from Southern California, is a terrific defender with a significant upside...

Justin Holiday, 6-6 JR SG/SF North Hollywood (Calif.) Campbell Hall, is among the better wings in the class of 2007. While he's still very slender, Holiday has excellent quickness for his size and he plays with outstanding energy. He's effective when slashing to the basket, but his shot needs improvement. Holiday's younger brother, Jrue, is the top-rated shooting guard in the West Coast class of 2008.

We spoke with Justin recently and asked him about the schools that have expressed interest in him to date.

"UCLA, Arizona and Washington have been out to my school," said Holiday. "There have been some others, but I don't know which ones."

We asked Holiday about the factors that will be important to him in choosing a school.

"My parents want me to get a good education," said Holiday. "The location doesn't really matter."

Holiday told us he hasn't given much thought yet to his recruitment, so he doesn't have a list of schools that really interest him just yet. He's also not sure about the timeframe of his decision.

"I'll talk with my parents about it when I'm ready," said Holiday. "They'll be the ones that are involved in my decision."
