Turner home from Tucson, decision looming

With the emergence of true freshmen Willie Tuitama and Mike Thomas the Arizona Wildcat offense got a huge boost in 2005. With the new T'N'T dynamic in Tucson, the Cat coaches are looking to add additional weapons to the arsenal and one of their main wide out targets was in Tucson this weekend.

Lakeview (Centennial) Texas wide receiver Terrell Turner visited Tucson this weekend and came away very impressed with his experience.

"Oh man, I loved everything about it," said an excited Turner. "I give the visit a ten for sure, it was perfect. Every single thing was on point. The coaches, the players, the strength coaches, the campus, the facilities and, oh man, the ladies, oh man the girls are amazing."

While in Tucson Turner was hosted by the aforementioned Mike Thomas and was able to hang around with a bunch of the other recruits and players.

"I was hosted by Mike Thomas and he was real cool," said Turner. "He showed me a good time for sure. Mike was a real cool dude. He showed me around and was a good guy to be around."

Turner is being recruited by Mark Stoops for the Wildcats and he says that he gets a long really well with Stoops and all of the coaches.

"Me and Coach Mark get along really well," he said. "That dude is something else man, I really like him a lot. I get along great with Coach Mike Stoops too. I met with him and it went really good. He told me that I would be a big part of the program and I think I can come in and help a lot from the start."

Terrell also got to meet and spend some time with his would be position coach Charlie Williams and things went very well there as well.

"Coach Williams is great," he remarked. "He and I have developed a very good relationship and I can very easily see myself playing for him. I think he is a very good coach and I would love to play for him."

Turner went on to say that he is done with his official visits after his visit to Tucson and that it is between the three schools that he has visited.

"I am done taking visits," he said. "I visited Arizona, Nebraska and Kansas and that is all the trips that I am going to take. I liked all three schools and I am going to make my decision and announce it after the first of the year."

When asked if he was leaning one way or the other, Turner responded with and answer that should make Wildcat fans happy.

"I will just say that it looks really good for U of A right now," he said with a laugh.

Turner would like to major in Computer Science in college. He is 6-foot-1, 182 pounds and runs a legit 4.5 second 40 yard dash.
