Scottsdale Community College five star defensive end Louis Holmes took his third and final official visit this weekend to the Tucson campus and came away impressed.
"I had as good a time as I thought I would man," said Holmes. "I have been down here so many times already but I wanted to do it on an official so give it a different feel and it was everything I knew it would be."
Holmes was hosted by senior defensive end Marcus Smith but in reality Holmes has been to the Tucson campus so many times that he didn't really need an official host.
"Yeah Marcus was my host for the most part I guess," remarked Holmes. "He is a good dude but I have been down here so much and I drove down myself this weekend so I know my way around. Marcus is a good dude though, he showed some things I hadn't really experienced much of before."
"USC was really good, I liked everything about it," said Holmes. "LSU was good too but on a scale of one to ten U of A was a ten for sure, most definitely."
Holmes is a December graduate and will enroll at his school of choice in January. Holmes said that he has set a timeframe for announcing his decision.
"I know where I want to go already and I am going to announce it probably on Thursday," he said. "I am probably going to have a press conference at the school and have the media there or whatever. I know where I am going to go though."
When asked if he would clue us in on his choice Holmes dismissed the question quickly by saying, "Man, you are just going to have to find out on Thursday. I wanted to use this trip to make sure and it did that."
There is no question that Holmes is the Wildcat coaching staff's number one target from both the JUCO and high school ranks. His announcement on Thursday comes as a welcome sight to Wildcat fans as they have been waiting anxiously for the announcement for months now.
Cat Tracks will be at the press conference on Thursday and will have the full length video of the conference up soon after.
