Holiday Taking His Time With Decision

Justin Holiday, an athletic junior wing from North Hollywood, Calif., isn't in a rush to make his college choice...

Justin Holiday, 6-5 JR SF North Hollywood (Calif.) Campbell Hall, is an intriguing prospect who has a chance to play at the high major level. But Holiday isn't going to be picking a college anytime soon. He says he's not even focused yet on his recruitment.

"I haven't really thought about it at all," said Holiday. "I don't have any list of things I'm looking for. Right now, I just know I want to go to a big D1 school."

Holiday said most of the Pac-10 programs have been to Campbell Hall practices and/or games.

"I don't really pay attention to that stuff," said Holiday. "My parents will tell me when a coach came, but I don't know their names."

Holiday did say that location is not an issue with him.

"It doesn't matter where in the country the school is," said Holiday.

While he has no plans to go on any unofficial visits, Holiday has been to games at UCLA and USC. "I went to USC when they played UCLA there," said Holiday. "And I've been to UCLA."

Holiday said he'll focus on his recruitment after his season ends. Campbell Hall plays in the Divison IV-AA championship game tomorrow night against Serra.

CAT TRACKS' ANALYSIS: It still remains to be seen if the Cats will add another wing in the 2007 class to go along with Jamelle Horne. The Cats are well aware of Holiday as they have been out to see him and his brother, 2008 stud Jrue Holiday. Expect the Cats to get a good feel for Justin's game as you can bet they will be on hand to see him play much of the summer, even if a lot of their attention will be focused on Jrue.
