Los Angeles Combine: MVP

Avondale (Ariz.) Agua Fria defensive end Everson Griffen made the trip West from the Cactus State and dominated like no other player at the Los Angeles Scout.com Combine, earning the MVP honors on the day.

Avondale (Ariz.) Agua Fria defensive end Everson Griffen (6-4, 265) dominated at the L.A. Scout.com Combine on Sunday, and his performance earned him the MVP of the Combine.

Griffen, quite possibly the top defensive end in the West, was clocked at an impressive 4.6 forty, into a wind, on his first run. His second run was even more impressive, running a 4.46.

During the one-on-one's, Griffen generally dominated the offensive linemen he went up against, and his battles with fellow Arizona native Kris O'Dowd were the most entertaining of the day, with the two splitting on their reps against each other.

Here is a video interview with Griffen following the combine, where he talks about his testing, the one-on-one's and updates his recruiting, including naming his current top three schools.
