The group is comprised of seven players - Jayme Allen (San Diego, Calif.), Kara Bowman (Tucson, Ariz.), Whitney Dosty (Tucson, Ariz.), Ashley Hamilton (Alpine, Utah), Makenzie Mullin (Overland Park, Kan.), Jacy Norton (Carlsbad, Calif.) and Alanna Resch (Solana Beach, Calif.) - and will attempt to fill the holes left by the departure of a class that four years ago was rated No. 1 nationally.
According to John Tawa of PrepVolleyball.com, Dosty is the key to the ranking and to Arizona's class. "Though she could use some seasoning, Dosty will likely be needed immediately for Kim Glass and should make an immediate impact with her breathtaking athleticism and gravity-defying leaping ability," Tawa says.
In addition, Tawa notes that Norton is hard-working in the middle, while Hamilton, a dynamic and intelligent setter, will learn behind veterans Amy Dyck and Stephanie Butkus. Resch and Mullin add quality depth and bring a tremendous work ethic to Tucson.
