Early word on Michigan guard

Did Laval-Lucas Perry commit to the Wildcats? Although he has yet to hold his press conference, press reports out of Michigan indicate that the fast rising combo-guard will move to Tucson next fall.

According to the Flint Journal's Bill Khan, Lucas-Perry will verbally commit to Arizona.

"When I went out there, their staff was friendly and loving," said Lucas-Perry told The Flint Journal. "They take care of their players and care about their players. I met with their alumni and love their alumni. Coach Lute Olson is like a wizard. He knows what it takes to win at that level and get to the next level. That's something I really admire."

The 6-3 combo guard impressed Wildcat coaches at the Wildcats' Elite Camp and he received a scholarship offer before he left town that weekend. He followed that up with impressive performances at the adidas camp.

He has seemingly chose the Wildcats over Michigan, Michigan State, Boston College and many others.

He fills the void left by the de-commitment of Jerryd Bayless.
