The Cats will start hosting more and more of their top targets on official visits during the winter months but that has not stopped them from hosting many top tier prospects on unofficial visits.
One of Arizona's top targets, if not THE top target, is tight end Rob Gronkowski and the big man from Pennsylvania found his way to Tucson again this past weekend for yet another unofficial visit to the Old Pueblo.
"I got into town right before the game on Saturday," Rob said. "It was all the usual stuff after the game, you know talking to the coaches and hanging with the players and stuff like that. The game was great though, it was a huge win for Arizona."
Gronkowski, the 3rd rated tight end in the nation by Scout.com, has the Cats in his top five and said that a return visit for an official visit is very likely.
"Arizona is definitely near the top for me," he said. "I still like Ohio State, Clemson, Maryland, Syracuse and Arizona. I am going to the Ohio State-Michigan game this weekend and after that I should have a better idea of how things will shake out for me."
Rob is being recruited by Arizona Linebackers coach Tim Kish and he got another chance to talk to his lead recruiter, as well as all the other coaches in Tucson.
"Coach Kish is a real good guy," he said. "All the coaches are great really, I like them all. I talked to all of them and it is a great staff."
Gronkowski went on to say that he will hold a press conference when he finally makes his decision but he wants to take his official visits during the month of December and by then he should want to get things over with.
"I will have a press conference when I announce my decision for sure," he said. "I want to take some of my visits and then get this over with. I don't really want to draw this out I want to get my visits in and then get it over with."
WildcatInsider.com will keep you up to date on Rob's recruitment as it unfolds during the hot winter months.
