Arizona used another one of their patented runs to build up a double figure halftime lead and then cruised to a 89-75 win over UNLV.
They may not bill themselves as the "Running" Rebels but they attempted to play up-tempo with the Wildcats and the strategy worked for the majority of the first half.
UNLV led 33-29 with 4:43 to play in the first half but the Wildcats finished the half on a 14-3 run to take a 10-point lead into the half.
Arizona opened the second half with a 17-5 run and led by as many as 25.
The Rebels made a late 9-0 run to get within 14 but UNLV could get no closer and any hope of an upset was averted.
Ivan Radenovic and Marcus Williams led the Wildcats with 27 adn 24 points respectively. Chase Budinger added 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Mustafa Shakur led the way with 11 assists.
Wendell White led UNLV with 18 points.
