Cats just too good

The Wildcats wanted revenge from the loss last year to Houston. They got it. The Cats shut down one of the nation's top offenses and dominated the glass in an 87-62 win.

The Wildcats held the Cougars to nearly 30 points under their average. The Cougars came into Sunday's game second in the nation in scoring average at 91.7 ppg.

The Cougars shot just 31.6% from the field and 28.6% from behind the arc.

Mustafa Shakur led the way for the Wildcats. The senior scored 17 points on 7-8 shooting. He was perfect inside the arc, while dishing out eight assists and grabbing six rebounds.

All four of the other Wildcat starters scored in double figures.

Marcus Williams grabbed 12 rebounds, while Radenovic 11.

Arizona opened the second half on a 16-7 run the Wildcats built up a 17-point lead and cruised to the win.

The Wildcats had two additional second half runs and were able to play their reserves quite a bit at the end.
