Weekend Visitors

The recruiting season is winding down. With only a handful of scholarships remaining the Wildcats seem to being selective about who they bring in for official visits. It should be a great weekend on campus with the North Carolina basketball game, but it won't be a huge weekend in terms of number of visits.

With 5-6 scholarships remaining, it appears that the Cats are being selective about who they bring in before signing day as they appear to be waiting on a few big names.

WildcatInsider.com has confirmed two players coming in for official visits this weekend.

Nai Fotu, a defensive end from Hawaii is making the trip to Arizona. Fotu, who plays both DE and RB for Kahuku (HI) High School. Fotu gave Utah a soft verbal back in November but has been open in his recruiting since then.

Although he's a bit undersized at 5-11, Fotu has a great motor and has the quickness that gave offensive tackles on the islands fits. He could be either a rush end or a linebacker at the college level.

The other confirmed player who is coming in is Devin Veal. The DB/WR from Buena HS was one of the first players to commit to the Cats in the class, but makes one of the last visits of the year.

Veal, who played quarterback at Buena, is a terrific athlete and a player who really turned the heads of the Wildcat staff at the team's elite camp over the summer. He earned an offer after the camp and committed shortly thereafter.

WR Anthony Boyles was originally slated to visit this weekend, but has rescheduled for next weekend.

WildcatInsider will have reports from their visits as well as the latest recruiting news.
