Gerrell Robinson is committed to Arizona already. The talented athlete from Hamilton High School committed to the Cats last fall as a quarterback but after a great performance at the U.S. Army Combine at receiver, the athletic player may find himself one of the top prospects at that position in the country. While the Cats have an inside track, don't be shocked if other teams make the Wildcats work for this one.
Ray Polk also has an Arizona offer. The Brophy product is one of the Southwest's top junior running backs for the class of 2008. He gained over 1,400 yards and 22 touchdowns for his junior campaign.
Two Buena players were in town. Running back Jamal Womble is attracting a lot of interest, but as of now he does not have an offer from his many suitors, but Oregon, Clemson, Arizona, UCLA, Georgia Tech, Colorado, Florida State, North Carolina, and Notre Dame are among his favorites who are contacting him.
Jake Muasau is a 6-2 receiver from Sierra Vista who could wind up being a legitimate high D-I prospect. The Cats have been involved and he seems to be interested in the program.
Chandler's Dion Jordan has the skills to develop into a top notch tight end prospect. AT 6-6 and nearly 220 pounds he already has decent size and many feel that he can add at least 30 pounds to his frame. Last year he had over 800 receiving yards and 13 scores playing wide receiver. More impressive is his speed. He's a sprinter who has posted some impressive numbers in the 300 meters (best of 38.28).
Jerrell Barbour has an offer from the Wildcats. The Centennial corner back had 41 tackles and a pick last season. He also had 15 offensive touchdowns, 10 receiving and five rushing.
Zach Schlink is a big offensive lineman that already has an Arizona and Nevada offer. Schlink had a great junior season for Centennial. He was named 1st team all region, 1st team All-5A and 1st team All-Arizona.
Some of the other juniors visiting are Beau Gardner, Keelan Wilson, Rory Christian, Dorian Lynch and Kyland Resar.
