Still deciding

Defensive end prospect Nai Fotu has been a soft verbal to Utah since last November. The sleeper prospect visited Tucson this past weekend, was it enough to change his mind?

The answer is maybe. Fotu is still considering the Utes, but Arizona made a good impression on him. As of Tuesday night the two-star prospect had not made a decision.

"I just have to talk to my parents and decide what is best for me."

Fotu gave a soft verbal to Utah, but made the late visit to Arizona and enjoyed his visit to Tucson.

"I really liked my visit to Arizona and I really liked how all of the Polynesian players stuck together and hung out," Fotu said.

His host was freshman Mana Mikaele, a defensive lineman from Damien High School in Honolulu.

"He is a good guy and I really liked all of the coaches and players and that was the best part, the people were all great," Fotu said.

Another plus for the Wildcats is the fact that his high school teammate Kaniela Tuipulotu recently gave the Wildcats a commitment. The two have never claimed to be a package deal but are good friends and have mentioned the possibility of going to the same college.

Fotu is a bit undersized for a defensive end, but has good quickness and is a hard hitter. He's a high motor guy who may lack a few measurables, but got great results playing for Kuhuku High School. He finished the year with 30 solo tackles, 20 assists and eight sacks.
