Brandon Bell Will Play at Marquette

Cat Tracks has learned that Flint (MI) Southwestern Academy star guard Brandon Bell has committed to head coach Tom Crean and the Marquette Golden Eagles.

Bell, the younger brother of former Michigan State star Charlie Bell, chose Marquette over Arizona, Pitt and a number of other schools. At one point during the summer tournament circuit, Bell was thought to have committed to the Golden Eagles but he said that the rumor was untrue when he talked to Cattracks in Las Vegas.

He will bring an excellent all-around floor game, shooting and scoring ability to the point guard position in college. At 5'11", Bell is a very good rebounder for his size and is quite strong as well.

Though his strength is in his outside shot and scoring capability, Bell said that running the point guard at the next level won't be a problem for him.

Brandon was unavailable for comment at the time this story was to be published.
