Player of the Game: Bobby Wade

Arizona looked good for most of the first half, but in the end it was out-manned by the No. 8 Oregon Ducks. Wildcat WR Bobby Wade was as good as anyone on the field, however, and he earned Player of the Game honors.

Bobby Wade came into the game with 25 catches in four games, a very impressive figure in and of itself. By halftime against Oregon
Wade had added seven more receptions and looked like he was on his way to a record-setting night.

The Ducks' defense adapted at halftime and made it tough for Arizona quarterback Jason Johnson to find his favorite target. For the game, Wade wound up with 12 catches for 144 yards and a touchdown.

On his touchdown reception, he used a great out and up fake to lose his defender, then grabbed the ball over the oncoming safety for the score. He also had a chance for another touchdown but the ball was knocked out of his grasp on a great play by an Oregon cornerback.

Wade's season totals, which rank up with the best receivers in the Pac-10 and in the nation, now include 37 catches, 741 yards and eight touchdowns.
