Cason to safety?

During his weekly press conference, Mike Stoops mentioned the possibility that Antoine Cason could move to free safety to replace the injured Dominic Patrick. The thought was that they could get speedy Devin Ross on the field and add another playmaker to the mix.

Dominic Patrick injured his knee in the Washington State game. Although still listed as a sprain, he could be out 2-3 more weeks. Brandon Tatum got the bulk of the work in the win over the Cougars, but Mike Stoops did not seem 100% positive on Tatum's play.

"He did okay, all right.," Stoops said.

The Cats have yet to make a final determination on the free safety spot. On Monday they kept Cason at Safety, had Devin Ross a the Nickel and repped Michael Klyce, Nate Ness and Tatum at free safety.

With the possibility of a big move, the we, along with several other members of the local media, caught up with Mark Stoops and Antoine Cason to get the latest.
