Wildcat Insider Pac-10 Rankings

Cal picks up some first place votes this week, but it's still not enough to unseat the Trojans as the conference's top-ranked team. It is enough to solidify them as the second best team though and with both Cal and Oregon in bye weeks, the Bears should remain confident that their spot is safe for at least another seven days.

USC (17) 4-0, 2-0 Pac-10, 197

Arizona State 5-0, 2-0 Pac-10, 130

Washington 2-3, 0-2 Pac-10, 96

Arizona 2-3, 1-1 Pac-10, 81

Oregon State 2-3, 0-2 Pac-10, 65

Washington State 2-3, 0-2 Pac-10, 45

Stanford 1-3, 0-3 Pac-10, 21

Arizona is the team on the move this week after beating up on Washington State.  The win was impressive enough for voters to move the ‘Cats up two spots to number seven.  They are followed by an Oregon State team who they'll face this Saturday in Corvallis.

The top dog in the conference remains USC despite their lackluster performance in Seattle.  Their not so impressive win was overshadowed by Cal going into the always hostile Autzen Stadium and getting the victory over a very strong Ducks team.

Arizona State claims the fourth spot while UCLA rounds out the first five teams.

Washington stands at six and is followed by Arizona and Oregon State.

The reeling Cougars from Washington State inherit the nine spot while Stanford remains firmly entrenched in the conference cellar.
