Slow start dooms the Cats

The Cats fell behind 31-3 and despite a solid second half defensive effort, Arizona could not close the gap and fell 31-16 against Oregon State in Corvallis.

A week after one of their best offensive performances in a decade, the Wildcat offense was lacking. They gained just 231 yard of total offense, while Willie Tuitama was sacked eight times.

The offense, coming off a 48-point performance, failed to score a touchdown. The lone touchdown came on an Antoine Cason interception late in the first half.

Tuitama threw three interceptions and passed for just 222 yards.

Oregon State got on the board with a Yveson Bernard 20-yard touchdown run on their second possession and never looked back. The Wildcats answered with a field goal on their next possession, but the Beavers scored the next 24 points and were never threatened.
