Four Star Hawaiian like the Cats

The Arizona Wildcat coaches are always on the run looking for the best athletes available form the high school ranks. One of the prime positions that all college coaching staffs covet is the defensive tackle position and the Wildcat coaches have their eye on another standout from the state of Hawaii.

Honolulu four star defensive end Aaron Tipoti is one of the Island's best prospects in the class of 2008. Tipoti has five offers to date, including Arizona.

"I have five offers right now," Tipoti said. "I have been offered by Arizona, San Diego State, Hawaii, UNLV and Oregon State. I have also talked to the Cal Bears and a couple of other schools but I have those five offers."

Tipoti is being recruited by Arizona defensive tackles coach Mike Tuiasosopo. According to Aaron Coach Tuiasosopo is a coach he would love to play for at the next level as he has gotten to know the Wildcat coach.

"Coach Tui is a great coach," he commented. "He was coaching at a camp in Maui and he coached me at that camp and I think he is a great coach. He wants me to come and play defensive tackle at Arizona. We have kind of played phone tag lately but I like talking to him and he is a real down to earth guy."

When it comes to Arizona, Tipoti is quick to admit that he only really knows one fact about the state and the City of Tucson.

"I know it is hot," he said. "I know it is hot and that is about all. I have been watching them play and I really like how their defensive line plays. They attack and play aggressive and I like that, how they attack and use the line players well."

Aaron has already taken one official visit but has yet to set any other visits. He has already visited Oregon State but says that Arizona is definitely a school he wants to visit when he can.

"I already visited Oregon State and I liked it there," Aaron remarked. "I know I want to take my visits and I really want to go see Arizona. I know Bryson Beirne, one of their quarterbacks and I want o go see what it is like in Arizona."

Tipoti says that he has a 3.5 core GPA and has scored an 1190 on the SAT. He does not know what he wants to major in yet but he says that he is interested in "history and science."
