Cats land another JC OL

The Arizona Wildcats improved on the field in 2007 and one of the most improved units on the field was the offensive line. Even though the Wildcats return four starters the Cats coaching staff is looking to add depth from the JUCO ranks.

The Wildcats have already landed teammates from Cerritos Junior College in Mike Diaz and Phillip Garcia and after a weekend official visit they have landed center/guard prospect Herman Hall from Blinn College in Texas.

"I committed on my visit to Arizona today," said Hall. "I liked the coaches and the players and the campus and everything, they were all cool."

Hall is being recruited for Arizona by the Wildcat tight ends coach Dana Dimel and the two have a decent bond according to Hall.

"Yes sir, Coach Dimel recruited me," he said. "I like coach Dimel he is a good and cool guy. We have developed a good relationship so far and he is a good guy. He is a real nice man."

While in Tucson Hall was hosted by a slew of talented Wildcats. His official player host was Eben Britton but Britton isn't the only Wildcat that Hall got along with over the weekend.

"The big O-Lineman Eben was my host," Hall remarked. "He is a cool guy, I liked him a lot. He was my host but I got to hang around Antoine Cason the Thorpe Award winner when I was there and I also hung out with Willie the quarterback a lot. They are all real cool guys and I liked how I fit in down there and that is why I decided to just go ahead commit."

The big man from Blinn went on to say that he is looking forward to getting to Tucson next month. Like the other two JUCO OL commits for the Cats, Hall is a mid year transfer and he is eligible to start playing in January when he has two years to play two.

"I will be back there next month and I am looking forward to it," said Hall. "Arizona is the right place for me and I want to go in and push and play and help make the program continue to get better."

When it comes to his on field abilities Hall says that he does not care which position he plays as long as he plays. He also says told WildcatInsider.com what his best attributes are when he straps it on.

"I play center and guard so I have good feet," he said. "I have good speed and technique and good footwork. I can always get better but those are what I do best."

Hall is the 15th known public commitment for the Wildcats' 2008 recruiting class. Stick with WildcatInsider.com for the latest on the Cat Football Program's recruiting efforts for the future of the gridiron.
