Wildcat recruiting update

Arizona football recruiting is wrapping up. The Wildcats are still waiting on a few last players, while still trying to unearth a few more potential prospects. Unfortunately, they have seemingly lost another recruit.

Sources close to the recruitment have indicated that Tremaine Thomas has decided to go to Arkansas. The athlete from Texas had originally committed to Arizona, but will now sign with the SEC school and new head coach Bobby Petrino.

"Coach Petrino told me that I would come in as a cornerback and that there would be get a chance to make an impact right away," Thomas told HawgsIllustrated. "He also said he could see me playing some wide receiver because I have such good hands." The Wildcats are still awaiting word from junior college offensive lineman J'Marcus Webb. Heading into the weekend Webb had only visited the Wildcats, but he tripped Texas Tech over the weekend and is said to be still considering some other Texas schools.

The Wildcats staff seems to still be working a number of prospects, so it would not be a shock to see a signing day surprise or two.
