R.J. Young of DeSoto, Texas was one of the first players to fax in his LOI on Wednesday. He seemed thrilled to officially become a Wildcat.
"It just felt like the right thing to do," Young said of choosing the Wildcats. "I feel like I could prosper at Arizona."
Young is rated by Scout.com as the #46 WLB.
Zander Fabbri is a physical linebacker who also felt like Arizona was just the perfect fit. He made an unofficial over the summer and committed early in the process. More importantly, he never wavered.
"Arizona just felt right," Fabbri explained.
Fabbri is a three-star recruit and rated as the #39 MLB in the nation.
Both players will get a chance to fight for playing time but will have their hands full. The Cats return players like Ronnie Palmer, Xavier Kelley and Adrian McCovy plus JC signees Sterling Lewis and Vuna Tuihalamaka will have the benefit of playing in spring ball that the two freshmen don't have.
Both Lewis and Tuihalamaka are three-star players according to Scout.com.
Tuihalamaka originally signed with Arizona last year but needed an additional semester of academic work.
