Cats add safety

Arizona lost a safety prospect just a few weeks before signing day, but that did not cause them to prevent them from rounding out the class. Arizona brought a player in this weekend and he left with an offer and a new home.

Crespi HS safety Mark Watley committed to Arizona on Sunday. He made an official visit over the weekend after getting late interest from the Wildcats.

"I committed to Coach Robinson after he offered," said Watley. "I didn't want to wait."

Watley is unranked by and is a two-star player.

He fills the spot that was left when Sean Westgate de-committed and went to UCLA.

Watley was hosted by freshman receiver David Roberts and was at the basketball game. He was joined at the basketball game by three juniors. Adam Hall, JJ Holiday and Jake Fischer all attended as unofficial visitors. Hall is a WR from Palo Verde, Holiday a WR from Santa Rita and Fischer is a LB from Ironwood Ridge.
