The second day of Arizona's fall practice was on Tuesday and WildcatScoop.com was in attendance.

Here are some notes from what went down:

  • Adam Hall was in attendance and that is likely a bigger story than some may think. Hall is keeping his recruitment open but sources tell us it could be another battle between USC and Arizona with Oregon coming on. If the Wildcats are able to put together a winning season, Hall could be one of the prizes.

  • Matt Scott took his first major reps of the fall and looked good. He had some mistakes and seems to be adjusting to the difference in speed, but he also calmed down as time went on. With rumors of Scott redshirting, we think the UA would be hard pressed not to play somebody of his talent.

  • Nicolas Grigsby is not a lock to go into the season as the starter, especially considering what we have seen so far. Keola Antolin is pure speed and Nick Booth has good balance. Some may have concerns about Antolin's size but that would be foolish considering Texas Tech has had plenty of success with those types of running backs.

  • Tight end Rob Gronkowski may lead Arizona in receptions and touchdowns. While Mike Thomas is arguably the biggest threat on the squad, Gronkowski has been targeted more than ever. It is obvious Arizona head coach Mike Stoops wants to make him the most consistent target on the team, which makes complete sense considering his talent.

  • Robert Golden was once again solid and it looks like he could be a start in the making. Normally secondary players have an adjustment period but Golden does not even know what that is. Whether it is shutting down an opposing receiver or tipping a pass, he seems to be in the right position each time the ball is thrown near him.

  • Trevin Wade had an interception and he deserves some more respect as well. With Devin Ross, Marquis Hundley, and Robert Golden, it is easy to see why Wade gets overlooked. However, he may be the fastest of the bunch and thus has the most potential for growth. Wade is going to contribute this upcoming season and some may be surprised, but not those that have seen him this fall.

  • Greg Nwoko was cleared to play and we are excited to see what he can do. The running backs have been impressive thus far but Nwoko is a different type of runner and thus could contribute right away.

  • The morning practices are not fun for the media but they really do seem to help with the players. It allows the team to break down tape during night, instead of worrying about whether or not the rain will interrupt the limited practices the UA can have.
