Another day and plenty of more notes surrounding Arizona's football program. Here's an update on Mike Stoops' program.

  • Mike Thomas was named Pac-10 Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday after gaining 257 all-purpose yards in the Wildcats' win over UCLA. Thomas had 107 yards on six punt returns.

  • Corey Hall was named Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after totaling six tackles, two pass breakups and a sack against UNLV.

  • Stoops says that Blake Kerley is almost definitely out for the year with a torn ACL. With Kerley out, Colin Baxter would move from left guard to center and Mike Diaz would replace Baxter at left guard. Kerley is not eligible for a medical redshirt year, as the season is 33% completed.

  • Arizona's Oct. 4 game against Washington has been picked up by the Versus Network and was moved to 4:30pm. Arizona's Oct. 11 game at Stanford isn't expected to be televised.

  • Stoops says on Monday that his assistants will hit the road recruiting on Monday and Tuesday.

  • Rob Gronkowski admitted this weekend that the illness that sidelined him during the first three games was in fact mononucleosis.

  • The last time Arizona started the season 3-1 was in 2002. The Wildcats then lost seven of their next eight games.

  • Arizona will only practice seriously on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, with a light workout on Saturday morning.
